First Obama next the summer Olympics!

Last Night Chicago hosted Obama's gigantic election rally. As I was watching the swarm of people cheering without any fights and I got a sense of community. The crowd was interracial and crossed all age groups. Last night I saw the potential of greatness if Chicago wins the Olympic bid.

As a citizen of Chicago and some one who has been participating in the USA volleyball system for the past three year I know what it would mean a lot to the city of Chicago. Now I know most definitely will not be playing in the 2016 Olympics but I want to be able to see it in my home town. But some people don't think that Chicago deserves the Olympics and I would love to know why! WHY NOT?

I totally agree with you!! I think that Chicago totally deserves to have the 2016 Olympics! I don't think I would be participating in it, but even with it being in Chicago, where i have grown up for most of my life, would be really cool! We totally deserve the Olympics, it is just a question of what does our city have that the other cities don't making ours special enough to win the bid!

I would love to have the Olympics in Chicago. I think that many people want Rio De Janeiro to be the host city for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games. For starters South America has never held an Olympic game yet, but that does not mean Rio De Janeiro lacks experience they held the 2007 Pan American games witch was considered one of the best in history. Brazil as a country has a been trying to better its infrastructure but has been at a slow pace. If the Olympic games were to be held there, it could give them the boost to modernize. I would be thrilled if Chicago won the bid, but think Rio De Janeiro "deserves" it more.
